		<description>Hit it on the head Vinnie. Makes you wonder why the Chinese and other asian races had this down pat about 5000 years ago, while we were all drinking goats blood. Problem is - they only work when the society is built on some bedrock norms that seem to be sadly lacking in the USA. 

Don&#039;t agree entirely though - having the courage to step aside if you&#039;re crap at something (but were good) would be excellent if there were unlimited opportunity to catch you in your new career.  Fear of losing everything is what keeps numbnuts from stepping aside. Boomers are the kings of this. It;s no coincidence that the insurance industry has booked under the boomers. Same story for designers and purveyors of safety devices. Seem&#039;s like an entire generation has lost the ability, as George Carlin said, to &quot;Just take a fucking chance&quot;. 

Wish I had the time or energy to give a truthful and thoughtful response to this Vince. It deserves it.
